Can I sell weight loss products on Stripe, Shopify Payments or PayPal?
Weight loss carries every risk on this page simultaneously: an outcome claim in the product name, an unusually high dispute rate, and in the GLP-1 era a supply chain that runs into prescription-drug territory. Stripe names one weight-loss product specifically, and everything else is judged on claims.
Also searched as: fat burners, diet pills, GLP-1, appetite suppressants, HCG.
Stripe
RestrictedNamed, and allowed only on stated conditions or in certain countries.
“HCG weight loss”
HCG weight loss appears by name on Stripe's list as a jurisdiction-specific prohibition. Everything else in the category runs through the nutraceutical claims clause, and a category that sells on before-and-after outcomes is unusually exposed to a rule about claims.

PayPal
Not namedAbsent from the policy entirely. This is not permission: it hands the decision to an underwriter, usually after you have money on the platform.
“involve the sales of products or services identified by government agencies to have a high likelihood of being fraudulent”
Not named, and this is the clause that fits. Weight loss has sustained regulator attention for deceptive marketing for decades, which makes this limb easier to apply here than almost anywhere else.

No policy of its own
Inherits Stripe's position, claims clause included.

What actually happens
Two clocks run at once. The compliance clock is a reviewer reading the landing page. The dispute clock is customers who did not lose the weight, and it moves faster, because the marketing that sells this category best is the marketing that generates the most refund demands. Whichever hits first ends the account.
What works instead
Fix the claims before you shop for a processor, because a specialist acquirer will read the same landing page and reach the same conclusion at a higher rate. If there is a compounded or prescription GLP-1 anywhere in the supply chain, that is a pharmacy underwriting question and needs to be declared as one.

This page is about weight loss products as a category. Approval turns on your specific catalogue, your claims and your paperwork, and we will tell you where you stand whether or not it leads to work for us.
Both are free and neither is a sales call. The check asks for your web address and nothing else; the call is thirty minutes and ends with an answer whether or not it leads to work for us. Ready to start instead? Tell us what you sell.
